On a snowy cold afternoon on February 7, my friends and I waited on a line outside of the newly renovated Kings Theatre on Flatbush Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. We were hoping for a peek inside. We were not alone and we were not disappointed. While we were waiting, it was fun to talk to local residents, not only about their memories of the theater, but also about how the neighborhood has changed over the years. When we finally made it inside, we were wowed. It was grand. Really grand. A police officer I chatted with outside told me he thought it was more fabulous than Radio City Music Hall. A man who used to attend the theater back in the day thought it was too Disney-like. What do you think?
